Happy New Year and welcome back to school!  I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas vacation! :)  We are very excited to welcome Dr. Cardenas to our Fourth Grade Family as our new assistant.

Reading - Today we moved into a new workbook - Unit 3 Week 1 workbook page 9 and we discussed the central idea and key details for a read aloud story. 

Science - Describing Motion- Engage.  KWL Chart for Motion.  Write 2 things you want to learn about motion.  Read and discuss How Would You Describe Your Motion on a Roller Coaster.  Watch the Six Flags Roller Coaster video. Write 2 things you learned.  Head a second page for Vocabulary . Define motion and speed.  Watch the videos and animation in the vocabulary words. Add to Learned section

Social Studies- Complete page 74.  Read and discuss page 75-77.  HIghlight key details about Anna Kingsley and Florida history.
