Science - Complete Discovery Education assignments on line that were posted.  Then we completed the activities in the sections of thermal energy, Temperature, and Heat Transfer

Social Studies- Today we began a trifold for the 3 main conquistadors. Outside- Name and Picture of each Spanish Explorer. Inside - 3 facts about their expedition. Where did they land in Florida? What did they discover in Florida? Why their expedition ended or an interesting fact about their expedition.  You should be sequencing the major events in their Florida expedition.

Science - reviewed the ways heat transfers, completed a google assignment, and read, highlighted and discussed conductors and insulators. Why Would You Categorize an Object as a Conductor or an Insulator?

Religion - I am so proud of our class for leading us in a beautiful mass today.

Math - Workbook pages 52,53, and 54

Social Studies - 50 and 51  complete # 2 and 3  and numbers 6 and 7 on page 53.

Science - Discovery Education - Energy - Heat Transfer - Explore - Read nad highlight "How Does Thermal Energy Travel?  Make a 3 tiered chart.  Label it Conduction, Radiation, Convection.  Take notes on the 3 ways heat transfers under each heading. Complete Heat Transfer Activity

Reading- Today we went over the questions to the story.  Create a theme chart in your copybook for Ranita, the Frog Princess.  Set up your graphic organizer for 4 clues.  Write the theme at the bottom.  2 clues will be in scene 1 and 2 clues will be in scene 2.  

The children were assigned the parts of the play they will be reading. Be sure to practice your part at home, reading with expression and emotion.  You are not memorizing your lines, you will be reading them from the text.

Math - today we worked on estimating multiplication problems using front end estimation, estimating by rounding, and using models to solve multiplication problems.

Reading - Reviewed questions from yesterday.  Redo them for homework.  Students who need to redo the work from yesterday have put the book and copybook in thier backpack.

Take out your reading Text Book and copybook

Head your copybook for pg. 110-125 Questions
1.    Read pages 110-113. Stop
2.  Answer the question: What kind of character is Felipe?  Go back to the text to find the answer. Complete sentences.    
3. Read pages 114-116. Stop
4.   Answer the following question: Reread page 16.  How do  the other characters feel about Felipe?  Cite text evidence in your answerParagraph answer.
5.     Read pages 117-119.  Stop
6.    Answer the question: In what way are the Viceroy and his son different?  Paragraph answer
7.   Read pages 120-125. Stop.
8.     Answer the question:  What is Vieja Sabia’s specialty?  Complete sentences

 Next Friday, our class will be hosting the 8:30 school mass.  We hope you are able to join us.

Religion - Mass today 

Math - Today we took notes on the vocabulary for Multiplication.

Reading - Today the children define the words from their workbook on pages 156-157 in their copybooks using context clues from the page and the drama, "The Ant and the Grasshopper".  They wrote the definition, 1 synonym and 1 antonym for each word.  They then answered the questions on page 156 and 157.

Science - KWL chart for Thermal Energy.  Read and highlight How Do You Use Thermal Energy? Add information into the L section.  

Social Studies - Read page 49 The First Explorers. Highlight and take notes.  

ELA - Students went onto google classroom. Copied the sentences into their ELA copybook.  Underlined the complete subject once.  Underlined the complete predicate twice.  Circle the subject.  Draw a rectangle around the predicate.

Write a paragraph to answer the question.  "What are you thankful for that God has given you?  Include 3 things and why you are thankful for them.
